The Federal Government of Nigeria ratified ILO Convention No. 155 on Occupational Safety, Health and Working Environment in 1994, in the firm belief that safe and healthy working conditions are critical to the attainment of social justice and economic growth. Therefore the employers are required to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities, and personnel to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. These Regulations apply to all workplaces including those with less than five employees and to the self-employed. The Level 3 First Aid at Work Course is approved by the OSHE and suitable for learners who wants to acquire knowledge and the skills to become a Qualified First Aiders and employees with responsibility for provision of First Aid in their Workplace.
Level 3 First Aid At Work (3 days) Course (NG)
The Level 3 First Aid at Work course focus on basic life-saving techniques and treatment of some illnesses and injuries including the medical assistance to be given to a casualty in life-threatening situations. Learners will acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills that will be useful in discharging their roles and responsibilities, therefore they should be prepared to undertake some practical activities including lying and kneeling down. This course is assessed by a practical demonstration and multiple choice examinations. The essential requirement for this course is Level 2 Basic English and learners are required to wear comfortable and appropriate clothing for the duration of the course
